In this ceremony which was attended by a group of graphic designers, Iraj Anvari’s colleagues and a large number of graphics students a documentary of his life was played and then a number of his students delivered a speech.

At the end the Honorable Mention of Alzahra University was awarded to Professor Anvari.

Iraj Anvari is graduated from Faculty of Graphics in printing field. He then continued his study in Art deco school of Paris and became familiar with the world’s day graphic. After returning to Iran he started teaching in his former university and updated the old graphic lesson plans. He tried for identifying and separation the graphic field from painting and added some new lesson like illustration and foundations to the previous curriculums. He dismissed the graphic training from personalization mode and introduced the research to create concept in designs. He planned the first project with the subject of Lalejin pottery to get M.A in Graphic field and started to study on the social, economic, environmental, and ... aspects in a group to design poster, brochure or any other advertising items.

The other important and long lasting activity of him is setting up a master plan for Graphics field. He returned to France in 1976 and started to study PhD with the subject of the semiotic approach with the Persian script under the supervision of Algirdas Julien Greimas the outstanding Lithuanian Semiotician.
